Pablo García de Paredes

Submitted his thesis for examination within the Doctorate Program at the School of Architecture at Laval University, Quebec, Canada (2024), and graduated from the Humanities and Social Sciences Doctorate Program at the University of Panama (2022). Winner of EDRA’s Michael Brill Grant in 2021, he was part of the INGSA Knowledge Associates (2021) within the International Network for Government Science Advice and a former member of the INGSA LAC+ steering committee. 

He has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals from the USA, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, and Argentina. His research focuses on housing’s effects on subjective measures linked to environmental behaviors, mental health and general well-being. 

His main expertise lies in informing, master planning, and designing housing and large-scale urban projects, leveraging research on user profiles, cultural patterns, and sustainable planning. He is a practicing architect, consultant, and writer, having published the books Urbanofobia (2015), Panamorfosis (2018), and Minimal Maximal City Planning (2019).
